POLYAMIDE

DESCRIPTION

Polyamide (PA), most known by the trademark Nylon©, is the technopolymer par excellence, with excellent mechanical properties and a low friction coefficient. There are many types of polyamides, among the most common are polyamides 6 and 6.6 or those loaded with graphite.
Available in sheets, blocks, round bars and sleeves in natural white, grey and black. Suitable for machining.

PROPERTIES

The properties of the individual types of polyamide do not differ much: relatively low specific weight, resistance to shock and wear, good electrical insulation, resistance to solvents, oils, fats and fuels. They are self-extinguishing and have high moisture absorption, and are not recommended for use in contact with water or when strict tolerances must be maintained.

APPLICATION

Good processability and wear resistance make polyimide extremely suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts for industrial use.
