POLYACETAL RESIN
DESCRIPTION
Polyoxymethylene (POM), better known as acetal resin or by the trademark Delrin®, is a crystalline polymer obtained through the polymerization of formaldehyde, it was relatively recently discovered (1960) and it has had a fast and wide distribution because of its excellent mechanical properties and good processability.
Available in sheets, blocks, round bars and sleeves in natural white and black.
PROPERTIES
The acetal resin is a self-lubricating material with good mechanical properties, resistant to wear and discreetly, to impact. It has excellent dimensional stability and excellent resistance to organic solvents. It has low moisture absorption, and is therefore suitable to work in a wet environment in contact with water.
APPLICATIONS
Good processability and wear resistance make acetal resin extremely suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts for technical use.
